I know it has been a while since my last entry, yet I am still going to the gym. Since my last entry both Linnea and I have been able to get 2 new hybrid bikes, made by Trek. I am working my way to averaging 10 miles a day on the bike. My long term goal is 20+ a day. We are still going the gym, even though I seem to have hit a wall in the weight lose. I am currently at 239. Lord willing I want to be down in the 220's by the end of the month.

A Week Later
Well, here it is Sunday June 26, 2011. I am down 5 lbs. I am now looking at being in the 230's I hit the gym 4 days this week, all on the Arc Trainer. Burned a total of roughy 500 calories each time., that being an average of 45 minutes. My goal is to use it for at least 1 hour if not longer.

Saturday Break
Well, today is Saturday. yesterday Linnea and I went downtown Frederick. We rode our bikes to the Library. Stayed there for about 1 & 1/2 Hours, reading and checking out magazines. After that we went to 5 Guys (I know not very healthy, it was our once a month trip). After that we rode down to Baker Park and took a break just relaxing. After we finally made it home we had rode about 4 miles.
Between my workouts at the Gym and then the bike ride, I was really feeling it last night. I ended up just hanging out on the couch for about 2 hours trying not to be sore. This morning the only pain I am feeling is in my lower back.
At 1 we are going to a wedding of one of my former students from the Deaf College in Silver Springs.

ARC TRAINER UPDATE
Well, it has been more than a week since my last entry. So far this month I have had 9 workouts, gone a distance of 20.22 miles, worked out a total of 4.5 hours and burned 2,542 calories.
The one thing I am finding is it is as much a mental thing as it is anything else. On the Arc trainer I had been on level 15 averaging around 120 strides a minute. I got bored with that and started pushing myself. Today I was averaging around 145 and hitting as high as 155 for the strides.

Back In Action
Well, I am back home after being in Florida for the last week. Last Sunday I received a phone call that my dad had a stroke. I ended up flying down for the week to be with him and the family. Thankfully he is recovering.
Needless to say, I was able to hit the gym or bike until yesterday. I hit the Gym yesterday starting back on the Arc trainer. Went for 1.5 miles in 30 minutes. Rode the stationary bike for 3 miles.
Today I rode the Trek Bike for 3 miles. Will be heading to the gym here in about 10 minutes. I am currently weighing in at 242.

A little Ride Around the Block
Well, today, I went a little longer on my bike ride. Today was just 3 miles in 12 minutes. This week I had a total of 10.72 mile and a total calorie bun of almost 900 cal. I am want to get to the point where I am doing 10-20 miles a day.
The only downside to today is my allergies. I past many lawns that were freshly mowed. My eyes are feeling it, but other wise I feel good.

First Physical Trip
Well, yesterday, I reentered the bicycle user world. I picked up my new Trek bike from The Bike Doctor here in Frederick. Rode it home, a 2.64 mile trip. Truly realized that the gym bike and the real bike are totally different in effects. The real bike diffidently gives a more real workout.
